HIMT was privileged to host Capt. K.K. Subramaniam, Fleet Personnel Manager, BSM, as the Chief Guest for the Passing Out Ceremony of Batch 28 of the Graduate Marine Engineering Course.

In his inspiring address, Capt. Subramaniam shared valuable insights that will serve as guiding principles for the cadets as they embark on their maritime journey:

“This is not the end of training, but the beginning of a lifelong journey in the Merchant Navy.”

“Onboard, there are no customer care numbers – you must be self-reliant.”

“Safety, self-discipline, and integrity are not just words – they must become your way of life.”

“A healthy mind requires a healthy body – fitness is as essential as professional excellence.”

“Each of you represents not just yourself, but the proud legacy of Indian seafarers.”

“Remember, today’s cadets are tomorrow’s officers – and future leaders at sea.”

We also had the honor of welcoming Capt. Subramaniam to our Post-Sea Training Center, where he expressed his appreciation for HIMT’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and practical training approach. He commended the institute’s world-class simulators and advanced training facilities that provide seafarers with real-time skills and confidence.

We would like to sincerely thank Capt. Subramaniam and the entire team at BSM for their continued support, encouragement, and trust in HIMT.
