All Diploma students can join the second year of lateral entry B.Tech Marine Engineering course. This 3-year residential course is affiliated with Indian Maritime University (IMU) and approved by D. G.Shipping, Govt. of India. This course leads to Marine Engineering Officer- Class IV Certificate of Competency, awarded by the Ministry of Shipping (Government of India), after six months of sea service after their course.
This course is strictly residential. Course commences on Every year August Month.
ELIGIBILITY
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION | AGE LIMIT | MEDICAL EXAMINATION |
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board. Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate marks in PCM. 50% marks in English subject in 10+2 examination. | Minimum Age Limit- 17 Years. Maximum Age Limit: Male: General-25 years, OBC (NCL) – 28 years, (SC/ST-30 years) Female: General-27 years, OBC (NCL) – 30 years (SC/ST-32 years) Note: The reference date for calculation of the age will be 01.08.2024. | Eye-Sight: Unaided vision: 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in better eye and 0.33*(6/18) in another eye. Eye Health: No eye conditions, full eye movement, normal pupil response, good binocular vision. No Color blindness and Color vision tested with Ishihara Chart. Physical Fitness: Candidates seeking admission to this Programme must be medically fit and need to produce certificate of medical fitness issued by D.G.Shipping Approved Doctors. The Medical Fitness Test can also be done with our in-house DGS Approved Doctor, at additional charges. |

- Examination Fees & yearly IMU Programme Fees are additional and have to be paid by the candidate to Indian Maritime University (IMU).
- The course fees can be paid Semester-Wise from 2nd Year. Subsequent Semester fees have to be paid Online prior to 1st May and 1st Nov.
- The Application Fee paid is non-refundable
- As per D. G. Shipping Guidelines, passport is mandatory to join the course.
- Caution Deposits are refundable at the end of the course after adjustments of laundry charges & damages, breakages etc., if any.
- Fees paid is forfeited if withdrawn from the Course after the course commencement.
- Admissions are subject to meeting the mandatory requirement of course.
- All fees can be paid online. We offer Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, and Debit Card. Cash/Cheque payments are not entertained.
